SXSW is the perfect storm of brands and consumers. At this Mardi Gras of tech, media, and music, marketers invert their traditional pitch and play up the interactive elements. As thousands gather in the streets of Austin, Instant.ly is taking the pulse of the crowd. Instead of trying to compete for your attention, we decided to adapt to your schedule. We’ve built a robust mobile survey platform to accommodate the busy crowd. We fight the frenzy of information by seamlessly adapting our product to your lifestyle, so that you can take surveys when you want, how you want, wherever you want!
Senior Product Manager, Allen Vartazarian pulls back the curtain on why Instant.ly decided to unleash its latest features just in time for March Madness. Hint: The old pencil and clipboard approach just doesn’t cut it anymore.
It is not news that smartphones are penetrating the market. Just last week, comScore’s latest trend report revealed that 42 percent of all U.S. mobile subscribers are smartphones, and that mobile app growth exceeded mobile browser use in 2011. Mobile has become an invaluable part of our communications landscape that has made sharing information easy for consumers, and obtaining that data integral for businesses.
So what does this mean for Instant.ly? From the inception, we recognized that if your platform doesn’t support mobile, you aren’t in the game. So we knew we had to evolve and translate our product into mobile, a process that goes beyond formatting for IOS and Android.
We wanted to hone in on user experience for two key audiences: survey-creators and survey-takers. We focused on automation: building a platform that translates to multiple screens, and seamlessly integrates with our site-no work on either end of the equation. Survey-creators have on demand access to audience, and survey-takers have the convenience of taking these surveys on-the-fly. Instant access. Instant feedback. Instant results.
Key features include:
- surveys automatically reformatted for iPhone and Android
- all question types supported (from single-select to open-ended and matrix questions)
- online reporting
- data and analysis in real-time
- clean user interface; intuitive navigation
This is just a glimpse of where we are heading with Instant.ly mobile. The benefits for consumers and marketers are huge. Consumers are empowered to give their feedback where they want, when they want, how they want. Businesses have wider access to on-demand survey audiences and can easily embed QR codes on products that scan-back to satisfaction surveys for immediate results. We’ve taken text-message marketing to a whole new level.
We are excited to help dynamic tech brands track brand awareness, and deliver an unparalleled survey experience. SXSW is a great venue to launch a platform that can record in-the-moment feedback. Stay tuned for a case study, and more action from the grounds of Austin. Off to the races!
